At least I got my printer working again. The problem was a firewall setting, after all. A 445 port. Not one I changed, mind. One of these automatic update things I suppose. So why do people do automatic updates anyway?
Still, at least I haven’t had to upgrade my perfectly good XP licence to Vista and I haven’t had to buy a wireless box for my printer.
So all is back to normal in the Williams’ IT household.
Now I can get back to important things like … um, well, sleeping.
