Yet another story from the New Scientist – this time showing how it’s possible to use brain scans to predict what people are thinking of doing. Ethical concerns have been raised in relation to using the procedure as an interrogation technique, but it could also be used to help paralysed people regain freedom of movement.

Where there’s a downside, there may always be an upside.
